What is the Foundation?
The Turtleback Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to support and promote the educational programs of Why was the Foundation created? Due to extensive state budget cuts, the school has extremely limited resources and needs outside funding support to provide for such basic needs as supplies for classrooms. Beyond the need for supplies, the school has also had to cut staffing in vital areas such as student programs and support. What do we do? The Foundation will seek out funding support from families through annual fund drives and special events that will provide fun, family activities and opportunities for community building. We will also seek out local businesses and foundations that can provide sponsorships and underwriting for the school's funding priorities. Only How Can I help? It is our goal that each family will consider a tax deductible gift of $10 per month, per child to cover the costs of the extensive loss of funds from the state. Not every family can make this commitment, but hopefully everyone will consider a monthly gift that fits their budget. All donations will make a tremendous difference in the educational experience of each child at Turtleback Elementary School. You can also help by volunteering your time to fundraising activities. If you are able to donate some of your free time, please offer your services by contacting us at tbkfdn@gmail.com. Thank you for commitment to your child's educational experience. Our mission is to enhance the educational experience of Turtleback Elementary School students by providing materials, staffing, and other resources through year-round fund raising activities.
The Board of the Foundation is a group of parent volunteers who work with the Principal of Turtleback Elementary School to identify the most critical funding requirements for the school that are not covered by the school district budget.
Check with the Human Resources department at your place of work to see if they have a funds matching program for charitable donations. Many employers do this and it is a great way to increase your contribution to the foundation.
Small change and proceeds from recyclables are another way that you can find a little something to help the foundation. These are not huge sums of money for one family, but added together they build up to make a difference for the foundation.
