Financial Update

 Financial Update-10 months to April 2011

Steady progress has been made in the foundation's second year. Despite the further impact of the economic condition, income is at equivalent levels to the previous year. A good start came from strong participation in the Life Lessons program, boosting donation levels in the September 2010 time period. Since that time, fundraising events have been a more significant source of revenue-Restaurant Nights & Butter Braid Sales have generated close to $5,000.

Donations to the school amount to $9,000 for the year to date. The upcoming Toast to Turtleback event is expected to be as successful as the previous year, allowing us to reach the same level of funding to the school by the end of June.

Working with the Principal, our goals for the year were established before the school year started.  These goals have recently been re-evaluated and can be seen in more detail on the Funding Priorities page.  The target for the next school year is to raise $30,000 for instructional supplies and technical needs.  There are insufficient funds from the school district to cover these basic classroom needs.

Although we have more fundraising activities planned, we need your help with continuing financial donations.  The recurring donations amount has been relatively stable in recent months but some of these arrangements are now reaching their expiration date.  We would like to see these renewed along with new commitments in order to provide a steadier stream of committed funds.  Those of you that have made one time donations, thank you for your generosity, but please consider repeating your donation on a recurring basis.
